Wolves

This month I have two of my landscapes hanging at the Noble Gallery at Noble Horizons, Salisbury, CT. The show is called the Art of Ageing. Like an ancestor spirit, wolves have been visiting my dreams.

I am grateful for those who strive to be heard (howl), who make the world a better place, and serve those that have less voice. The wolves remind me of the women in my family because they are strong. They have nurtured their community in many ways. They have been tenacious, driven, and eager for changes.

Though change makers often seem to work alone, they get their strength from a wider circle of support. From a single wolf to the wolf pack, my paintings remind us that we are not meant to be alone. Together we can stand up and work in partnership to find solutions for problems that dodge us.

Also, life is not all about the struggle. It is about making time to frolic and sing. The wolves remind me of the wilderness and the hunger inside us all. What are you hungry for? Do you make time to play? Can you lean on support from others?

The two paintings are hanging until December 19th, with viewing hours on weekends only.
