In 2006 when my marriage started
failing, I have made a commitment to paint every
single day for as many days as the length of the divorce document. In this way I have found a voice for my sadness, my courage, and my
recall memories and visualize evocative tones that distill symbols into
paintable vignettes. A whimsical
palette, the playful brushwork and a lightness of imagery lay bare the
anxieties of a personal and yet almost universal experience.
